Flower of the Day – July 9, 2017 – Winter Rose (and Flying Friend)

This is a rose from a bush that is more than 50 years old! I don’t ever recall it flowering this late in the year. Normally it is a Spring flowering plant that will flower two, sometimes three, times a year. This one came out three weeks after Mid-Winter’s day? It’s been a weird year as far as the flowers go.

Actually it’s been a pretty weird year in general.
