My Phalaenopsis Orchid, sometimes called a Moth Orchid, but i think it has more reason to be called a Bird’s Head Orchid, was in bloom from September last year to January this year. I caught this shot before it’s long flowering season finished. 😉

Thank you very much Mariga! 🙂 Close-up the flowers can take on any number of guises as the centre has many features extending in all three dimensions including a heart-shaped, two-forked ‘tongue’!
