Flower of the Day – December 21, 2017 – White Plumbago (Leadwort).

Not many flower pics here lately for which i apologise but Christmas time is hectic (chaotic really 😉 ) and also not so great for new flowers, but my pure white plumbago seems to love the heat so here is this weeks offering…

  1. We were watching something Australian the other day — and it was a Christmas show and people were wearing suits. I looked at Garry and asked him WHY they are wearing suits at Christmas being as it is really HOT there … then I realized they probably didn’t tape the episode at Christmas. They probably taped it when it was much cooler. I wouldn’t want to do it in the intense heat either, but it was still sort of funny.

    • Most production companies have the extended Christmas break here before the New Year Season begins around the end of january so you could be right… but we have ‘Real’ Santa’s all over the place – in Air-condiitioned malls AND out on the streets i the blazing sun when it can be up to 100+ in the shade!

Some people are prepared to suffer to bring kids the Joy of Christmas Down Under.

WE also sometimes have surfing Santas in swimsuits… it kinda blows the mind of Northern hemisphere folk! 🙂 ( as well as the odd ‘Aussie’! )
