Took these shots on a PERFECT Winter’s day, about 19C/65F degrees, light breeze, deep blue skies. Thought the tree was in full bloom of yellowish flowers from a distance – BUT THIS TREE IS NOT ACTUALLY FLOWERING – as such. Close up you can see the gum buds still have their protective caps on on all but a very few flowers. You can see the real flower colour and the caps opening, in the second pic.
