My Geraldton Wax bush (Chamelaucium uncinatum) is nearing the end of it’s blooming season, but still looks glorious. Here are a couple of close-ups’ of these remarkable, if slightly small, flowers. 🙂
(Click on image to open in a new window and click again to expand) 🙂 The silvery-green globes are early buds which turn into the pink globes, that then literally look like they burst out from liquid wax! 🙂
If you look closely you can see that the tips of the ‘wax splashes’ contain the anthers which hold the flower pollen. 🙂

These are truly one of my favorites but each time I’ve grown them a hotter- than- usual-summer takes them out.
