The Australian Magpie has one of the most beautiful singing voices of all Australian birds – a melodious lilting warble.
Unlike many of us however he chooses not to sing in the bath! He doesn’t mind being photographed while in his though. 😉

How can I have missed seeing this fellow when I lived in Australia? Not in NSW??? And.. I see no ads on your blog.

The ‘maggie’ is ALL over Aus, city as well as country and is a big boy/girl. Usually found in family’s of up to 10 at a time (although this fellow seemed ‘single’ 😉 ) Famous for ‘swooping’ people at breeding time, especially kids and other people on pushbikes.

That’s the secret. I didn’t ride a pushbike in Australia. They must not have swooped down on little baby-poop colored Morris minis!

Not sure, but i just tried to check while having no WP pages open ( so not logged in??) and my page had no ads – but i think it had logged me back in.. will try again after logging out and googling??

Success! – I logged out and googled my blog’s FOTD posts – clicked onto it and there was an ad for a heart attach warning! – Just below the last part of the text/images!?

Re: ads — I would say, about 6 months ago, I started seeing ads on your blog, and on others. Do you see ads on mine?
