Some quotes about success and failure:
“Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.”
Winston Churchill
“I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that don’t work.”
Thomas Edison
“Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value.”
Albert Einstein
“Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.”
Robert Kennedy
“You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don’t try.”
Beverly Sills
My favorite quote about success:
“I don’t deserve this award, but I have arthritis and I don’t deserve that either.”
Jack Benny

Ed – i’m rather afraid that that definition of Mr Churchill’s may explain the huge total waste of human life in World War 1 when he was First Lord of the British Admiraly until the disaster of Gallipoli which Australians know sadly too well.
Not learning from your failures (particularly when other men die for your failures) and moving on to the next one with ‘enthusiasm’ is not exactly what i would term a formula for great success.
Mr Kennedy (another politician) also has a view that concerns me more than somewhat. Mostly because politicians seem to have a very keen tendency to take great risks ‘for others’ but are pretty much a bunch of cowards when it comes to personal risk or loss.
It’s very easy to gamble with other people’s money – or lives. Not so easy to risk personal injury. We should always remember that when it comes to the choices our Politicians make ‘for’ us.
i love Jack’s quote! 😉

Rain, J-R – Thank you ladies ( Homey!) 😉
it is indeed nice to know friends are thinking about you and perhaps missing your presence at times.
I have not been well of late and have not felt up to attending to my computer ‘duties’ or managing to communicate with any blog-friends. i hope you forgive me.
I hope to do (and feel) better in the near future.
maybe i miss the Sun too much – no sign of summer here yet – not all that much of Spring either.. although i did have some thoughts on those subjects as you will see in my next post. ( the body was weak but the mind was very active while i was ill). 🙂
loved to hear from you both 🙂
