Yesterday i posted some pictures of my ‘blue’ plumbago. Today this infloresence particularly caught my eye due to it’s very striking contrast of red and blue, which is somewhat less striking as a photo than in real life.
(Click on image to open in a new window and click again to expand) 🙂The blue petals are tightly wrapped around the long tube stems as they emerge from their sticky globuled red calyx. Once again a very tiny spider is using the flower as a refuge and food source.
