Welcome to Day 2 of Poppy Week!
Yesterday showcased the subtle variations in my red remembrance poppies, mostly to the cross or absence of it, on the plain red petals as in this example:
(Click on image to open in a new window and click again to expand)The ‘Classic’ pure red poppy of remembrance, but with just a hint of the variation in colour of the petals from the usual bright red of the large outer petals.
This piece of peach perfection has semi-translucent petals that overlap to produce deeper shades of peach pink. It almost appears to be illuminated from below.
All photos are the actual shading with the only editing done being close cropping for sharper definition.
