The variety of colours in these delightfully fragrant flowers that are now growing in profusion in my garden continues to astound me. 🙂
(Click on a pic to open in a new window and click again to see enlarged detail!) 🙂Pure white on top, and white with a single golden yellow splash, but with a purple ‘outer’ covering, as can be seen on the bud just sneaking his nose in to the left!
A light purple, cream and golden yellow, with a small white alyssum, or what is left of them.

Lovely — but we need smell-o-vision!

Wonderful idea Janet…. hasn’t somebody invented that yet?? 🤔 🙂

I think they had it for the big screen a while ago, but I haven’t heard of it on the internet!

That’s right! I think it was met with mixed reaction. Scents can bring on strong emotion… and not always the intended one!

Haha — that would be an interesting way for Elon Musk to ensure his immortality — by adding musk to his sensory interface!

Yes — and I can’t really imagine the technology that would be required to send a scent over the ethernet!

I think Elon Musk is developing a way to connect our brain directly to the web (via computer interface). If that can be done successfully any sense could be activated/stimulated ‘remotely’. A recording could be taken of us smelling a certain scent and it could then be replayed to us anytime we chose. Not sure if it could be transferred exactly to another brain however??
Not sure if a ‘new’ sense could be supplied, like the smell of an unknown to us flower for example?
Maybe in the next 10 years we might begin to find out? 😉

They look almost too perfect as if they are one of those man made ones. Stunning

The zoom on my Nikon gives my photos a very slightly ‘hazy’ look (it is a ‘cheapy’ – for a Nikon – after all.) 😉
They are even more beautiful ‘up close and personal’ 🙂 I’m very lucky, blessed even, to have so many to photograph.
