Spatula, of course, being the name of that long, flat cooking utensil which bears a passing resemblance to this fellows long beak. 🙂

There is a considerable difference in bill size… though they say size does not matter?

Personally, i think the size of one’s bill is very important – i don’t like getting ripped off. 😉

      This one was a rarity for me, although they are not all that uncommon in Australia and New Zealand and have relatives all over. 🙂

      He did seem to be the only one of his kind on the lake though?
