The tiny white spider i found on my Lantana has found a new home in one of my Gazania – she’s been therefor 3 days now!
She looks identical in form to the Goldenrod Crab Spider or Flower Spider (Misumena vatia) of N America and Europe but which are not known to live South of the Equator. I believe this one is a member of a different family all together the Thomisidae and is of a genus i can’t locate?
White Crab Spiders (Thomisus spectabilis) are similar to this one but have a much more angular abdomen, but it’s the best description i have for now.
love.
nice photos, its always a plus when you get a beauty and a bug together

I have never see anything at all like a white crab spider. Once more you have shown me that the world is a wonderful place.
