Australian Shelducks, also known as the Chestnut Breasted Shelduck or Mountain duck. The male, as with almost all birds is the larger, while the female is the one with the white around the eye and the (lighter) beak.

Looking very refined as she takes a stroll along the park promenade in her Sunday Best. 🙂

What a beautiful species of duck Lwbut! I feel that after reading your post, I’ve learned a lot and have a deeper appreciation for our Australian fauna 😁
(Btw I did a challenge and decided to tag you in it! You don’t have to do it, but please give the post a read: https://becomingproactive.wordpress.com/2018/04/08/quote-challenge-day-2/)
Looking forward to the next species of bird that you’ll write about!
