Flower of the Day – March 15 – Coleus (Plectranthus scutellarioides)

There are very few flowers that are in bloom all the year round but if you love to see colour and pretty patterns in your home or garden you don’t need flowers when you have some Coleus.

Coleus are fairly hard to kill and in many places will actually grow better indoors than out! How good is that? 😉

    • My Mum always used to take a few cuttings and put them in a glass of water for a couple of weeks then replant them.

If not just google Blue Coleus – images. – Watch out for the reverse ones (blue border, white centre) – they are CGI creations for the computer simulation Second Life!! 🙂

You can buy 100 seeds for 40 CENTS (delivered!) on AliExpress, but don’t rush – wait to see if mine make it through our tough customs import laws unscathed first. I’ll keep you informed of progress.
