Saw this (for me) quite unusual cloud formation at sunset last night…
(The sun is so low it is lighting the underside of this close cloud while a more distant cumulo-nimbus thundercloud formation is casting a shadow on it. You can just see a corner of it peeking out from behind the centre tree). 🙂

I learned and remembered a few in High School science classes, but i think they’ve added about fifty types since my day – i’m lost! But thunderclouds are still Cumulo-nimbus if i recall rightly?
Whatever they are called they can be very pretty to photograph. 🙂
