Word of the Day – 29 October 2017: Appleication.

WOTD

Welcome to a regular feature on my blog – WOTD. Each day a new word will be suggested as the word of the day, which could either be an already existing (but rarely used) word or may be a completely made-up one. There will be a short definition and, ideally, an example of how the word would be used in everyday conversation.

I encourage anyone to provide their own words, either in the comments below or by linking their posted word to this blog. Don’t forget the definition or maybe when it should be used.

So, today’s word is: Appleication. (Noun).

Pronounced: Apple-ick-a-shun.

The process of converting one’s entire technological life over to Apple products.

Eg: John realised his appleication had taken one step too far with the invention of the Apple i-Spy – a bionic eye implant that could see ulterior motives, including his own.

love.

    • Thank you RG! This word was just a little fun, and maybe a tiny dig at Apple? 😉

I find we become good at the things that interest us most… and which we can have fun with! For me it’s words, flowers, and numbers in particular. 🙂

Chemistry and physics and astronomy are high up there too!

      And chocolate of course! 😉

      • You sound like you have many very interesting interests! 🙂 I wish I could write well, But I would be too busy trying to edit it and figuring out the right punctuation. That would take all the fun out it!

        • grama speelin and pructuation are highly over-rated these days!! Just go for it and let spell check do the all tricky stuff! 😉

Seriously though… i think you write very well, you can do much more if you don’t get down on yourself TOO much! 🙂
