Flower of the Day – May 23, 2017 – Geraldton Wax

At first glance this shot of a native to my state – Geraldton Wax (Chamaelaucium uncinatum) – might not look all that impressive, but as with most things it depends how you look at it. If you zoom in to see the fine detail you can tell how magnificently nature adorned it with christmas-like decorations of glass bulbs (raindrops) over every branch and bud!

I hope to show it again in a month or so when the buds are in full flower as it looks to be in for a bumper season this year – watch out for it! 🙂
