LOVE
If you Love your Family, but not every member of the Family of Man – You know not Love.
If you Love your Pet, but not the dog that barks next door – You know not Love.
If you Love the beautiful face, but not the old crone – you know not Love.
If you Love your home and yet enforce barriers to keep those without a home from it – you know not Love.
If you Love your sporting team but not the Umpires or the fans of the (or the members of the) opposing side, without whom there is no game – You know not Love.
If you Love that little luxury in life but keep it only for your own and would not share it with one who suffers – you know not Love.
If you Love your wealth and store it up without using it to do good – You know not Love.
If you show favour to those with fortune yet reject those who’s fortunes have fallen – you know not Love
To be one who truly Loves you must not show discrimination to any race, colour or creed.
To be one who Loves it is necessary to oppose only actions – not the people who take (for reasons you may be unable to fully comprehend) those actions.
To be one who Loves it is necessary to remember that all mankind has a heart, soul and a brain as do you;
That anyone may have a child that is Loved as much as is your own;
That they are undoubtedly someone’s son or daughter, brother or sister, mother or father;
That their way of living, however foreign, is as precious to them as yours is to you;
and their life is equally as valuable as your own.
In short, if you cannot give to those unlike you, that which you would give to those of your own ‘kind’, You have not True Love in your Heart.

Great words of wisdom Love.
Those are words we all need to live by. From my view we could throw away all our holy books and the rules of law we have created for our societies. If we could just live by these words the world would be the kind of place we dream of.

JR – we all have so much yet to learn – but hopefully we have already learned many things to our benefit – not least about ‘our’ love when compared with His 🙂
So – would that mean i’m fighting dimensia?? 😉 ( Dimensions De-mentions? ) 🙂
And you can come ‘back’ as many times as you like here young ‘un
i like we can both share a similar sense of humoUr 😉
D – email sent! 😉 and we can always find a way to love even more 🙂 all of us – none of us can reach a ‘limit’ to loving.. when we do it right. If we ever come to such a limit it’s an indication we were doing ‘something’ wrong.
Ed – Very kind of you to say so. It is a nice dream to have that we could all live this way and maybe we can do what we feel we can to work towards it, sadly though, it will take a very long time for enough of us to get enough of ‘it’ just right to bring the rest of the world into alignment with us such that people no longer felt it ‘necessary’ to put others down and take for themselves at the expense of others.
There is a constant battle between individuals ( and also within each individual) over the ideals of ‘sacrifice’ and ‘want’, between giving and taking, between love and fear.
To me all religion at it’s core intends to provide us with the mechanism to successfully fight this battle.
Again, Sadly, the level of human development as a whole means this ideal is often corrupted and misunderstood into some other ‘fantasy’ or for someone else’s purposes.
