Warning! Danger Ahead.

These are dangerous words.
Very Dangerous! You have been ‘warned’
I do not know if the person reading them will read them ‘rightly’.

They are dangerous…

But Love is the ONLY thing that can ever truly set you Free

So I’m taking a gamble here…

Gamble Everything For Love

gamble everything for love
gamble everything
put it in a place you keep what you need
you can gamble everything for love if youre free
you gotta gamble everything for love

baby are you cold?
are you cold baby i could wrap you up
wrap you up in my love
if you wanna you can gamble everything for love
if you wanna you can gamble everything for love

tell me are you feeling lost? have you crossed
into places that you never knew to get through?
tell me are you gonna cry all night?
tell me the truth and ill tell you the truth
if you gamble everything for love
youre gonna be alright
alright

make a list of things you need
leave it empty
except for number one - write love,
gamble everything
keep it under lock and key
if you wanna you can gamble everything for love

love me with an open heart
tell me anything
we can find a place to start to gamble everything
we can set this thing apart
cos were gonna
gonna gamble everything for love

tell me do you lose your way each day?
are there people you dont recognize?
do they lie?
tell me do they make you feel too real?
tell me the truth and ill tell you the truth
if you gamble everything for love
youre gonna be alright
alright

you can go your own way
you can go your own way
you gotta go your own way
if you gamble everything for love
if you gamble everything for love

gamble everything for love
gamble everything
put it in a place you keep what you need
you can gamble everything for love if youre free
you gotta gamble everything for love

tell me are you getting hurt?
is it worth it?
tell me are the people strange?
do they change?
tell me are you letting go?
do you know?
if you gamble everything for love
if you gamble everything for love
if you gamble everything for love
youre gonna be alright
alright

The Video shows the ‘usual’ pop concept of Love - i would replace either the man/woman in the clip with God (depending upon if you are male or female).

God is Love.

Are you feeling ‘Lucky’?

Lucky Number
(Udy, udy, udy, udy etc…)

I never used to cry ’cause I was all alone
For me, myself and I is all I’ve ever known
I never felt the need to have a hand to hold
In everything I do I take complete control
That’s where I’m coming from
My Lucky Number’s one

I’ve everthing I need to keep me satisfied
There’s nothing you can do to make me change my mind
I’m having so much fun
My Lucky Number’s one
Ah! Oh! Ah! Oh!

Ay ay ay ay ay…
I now detect an alien vibration here
There’s something in the air besides the atmosphere
The object of the action is becoming clear
An imminent attack upon my HEART I fear
The evidence is strong
My Lucky Number’s wrong
Ah! Oh! Ah! Oh!

Something tells me my Lucky Number’s gonna be changing soon
Something tells me Lucky Number’s gonna be ow-e-ow-e-ow-e-ow-e-ow-e-ow-e…

You certainly do have a strange effect on me
I never thought that I could feel the way I feel
There’s something in your eyes gives me a wild idea
I never want to be apart from You my dear
I guess it must be true
My Lucky Number’s two

This rearrangement suits me now I must confess
The number one was dull and number two is best
I wanna stay with you
My Lucky Number’s two
Ah! Oh! Ah! Oh!

Number two… Number two…

Lovich/Chappell 1978

If you can sing along with this there’s a fair chance you were born in the 60’s! (or even earlier?

This song played on my radio today and took me back - a LONG way. It’s by Lene Lovich.

It also appeared in a completely new way to me now ( as so many older songs do these days)

I think it is a great Analogy for the way SOME people grow up…

only ever considering themselves and placing themselves as ‘Number One’! ( As can a child)

But then we feel a ‘change in the air’ (in the Spirit) and become aware of Another One - a Greater and Higher ‘One’. And suddenly we’re Number Two ( NO toilet Jokes, PLEASE!!!) - Number Two - along wih everyone else!

At Dana’s suggestion I managed to find this on Youtube (a friend sent it to me as a movie file) and thought you might all find it as amazing and amusing as i did.

They say a Dog is Man’s Best Friend, well this shows Dogs like women too - particularly as dance partners…

Let’s see a Cat do THAT! :-)

Maybe you should look away now?

Reasons to be careful what we say #313

Aww heck - i can’t leave you with just that one taste of Kacey - now can i??

Enjoy  Y’all ( those who ’stayed’ awhile - you know who y’all are)

The Queen and the Soldier

OK - I know i said i would have a simple question in my next post…

This is the next post to ‘The Message’ and there is no question in it - i beg your continued indulgences…

The Message was humbling - i am glad so many of you responded so sincerely and even persistently to my comments - you are all very kind to humour me in that fashion.

It was i feel  ‘quite’ deep and some went where I intended (although none i feel followed it the whole way and got ’side-tracked’ with a quite minor issue of relevance to me but thanks for answering the questions with your input).

Tam’s blog led me to something i have wanted to share with as many as would listen for quite some time now and this post is the result and is therefore a little ‘out of sequence’ to what i might have previously intended - we all get side-tracked in life a little at times, huh? :-)

I think i can say quite without fear of contradiction that almost none of you will have ever seen a song in concert like this one in the following Video is.

I was a little apprehensive about displaying this version and chose it finally out of the many other copies that just show the Song, primarily because of the sound quality and it is the song i REALLY wanted to show you all in a way that it touches me most strongly - the SOUNDS!

I chose the video only slightly because of the fairly ‘radical’ way it is presented which i do admit i find a little fascinating - for all the ‘firsts’ is contains.

The video is a tad under ten minutes long. If you are in anything of a hurry and this is longer than you wish to spend here then please ’skip’ the first three minutes thirty seconds introduction, which is mostly for technoheads, and explains what you are seeing - which basically is a computer animation of a live web-broadcast in real time  -amazing to those who speek geek! :-)

The song is the important part of this post and begins at 3:30 in…

This song has spoken to me for twenty years since i first loaned the album from a CD library. I am not sure what it is saying to me, exactly - all i know is it is saying it on a VERY ‘deep’ level - maybe it will for you, maybe it won’t but i think you deserve to hear it ( again perhaps?)

I never grow tired of listening to it. Suzanne Vega is truly beautiful - and so is her music - and especially this song.

I give you - Suzanne Vega and: The Queen and the Soldier  (via Second Life)

Water….. and Rock!

Water Of Love - Dire Straits

High and dry in the long hot day
Lost and lonely in every way
Got the flats all around me sky up above
I need a little water of love.

I’ve been too long lonely and my heart feels pain
Crying out for some soothing rain
I believe I have taken enough
I need a little water of love

Water of love deep in the ground
But there ain’t no water here to be found
Some day baby when the river runs free
It’ll carry that water of love to me

There’s a bird in a tree sitting so high
Just a-waiting for me to die
If I don’t get some water soon
I’ll be dead and gone in the afternoon

Once I had a woman I could call my own
Once I had a woman now my woman she’s gone
Once there was a river now there’s a stone
You know it’s evil when you’re living alone

Water of love deep in the ground
But there ain’t no water here to be found
Some day baby when the river runs free
It’ll carry that water of love to me

SOLID ROCK!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KV_0Mf9YcyA

AUSSIE ! ROCK! (Uluru!) (93 = 12!)

 Solid Rock - Goanna

Out here nothin’ changes, not in a hurry anyway
You feel the endlessness with the comin’ of the light o’ day
We’re talkin’ about a chosen place
You wouldn’t sell it in a marketplace, well
Well just a minute now

Standing on solid rock
Standing on sacred ground
Living o-on borrowed ti-i-i-ime
And the winds of change are blowin’ down the line
Right down the line

Round about the dawn o’ time, When dreamin’ all began
A croud o’ people came
Well they were looking for their promised land
Were running from the heart of darkness
Searching for the heart o’ light
Well it was their paradise

But they were standin’ on - solid rock
Standing o-on sacred grou-ound
Living o-on borrowed ti-i-i-ime
And the winds of change were blowing cold that night
Oh

They were standin’ on the shore one day, Saw the white sails in the sun
Wasn’t long before they felt the sting, white man, white law, white gun
Don’t tell me that it’s justified, ’cause somewhere, someone lied
Yeah well someone lied, someone lied, genocide
Well someone lied, oh, ahh

And now you’re standing on - solid rock
Standing o-on a sacred grou-ound
Living o-on borrowed ti-i-i-ime
And the winds of change are blowin’ down the li-ine

Solid rock, Standing on sacred ground
Living o-on borrowed ti-i-i-ime
And the winds of change are blowing down the line
Solid rock, Standing o-on sacred grou-ound
Living o-on borrowed ti-i-i-ime
And the winds of change are blowing down the line
Oh-oh-oh no, NO-O

OK - late change of plans these - things happen to us all no doubt :-)

 Anyone out there like MUSIC??

I’ll take that as a yes.

Anyone out there like Mathmatics??

I hear crickets chirping??

I know Someone besides my self does!

Don’t panic - this will be REALLY simple stuff - Child’s play in fact. We all liked to play as Children huh? (Well, i liked to ‘play with numbers’)

Next time someone ‘Tag’s me (You’ve had one turn Chris!!!) one of my ‘random facts’ will be that from around the age of 9 i started counting at night as i went to sleep… The aim was to count to a MILLION - in one’s…1,2,3,4,5…

I had a sheet of paper by my bed and would keep ’score’ in thousands! I don’t recall exactly how long it took but i would count between one and five Thousand a night. I would ‘mouth’ each number,  but either silently or in a very quiet voice. I got to be able to ‘count’ rather fast and could ‘rattle off’ one to twenty in something like 2-3 seconds.

I did eventually reach one million but it was not until my parents had emigrated from the UK to Aus and it was easily six months or more after i arrived here having started some 12 months before.

I did not count EVERY night! What do you think i am - some kind of obsessed nutcase, or something?? ;-)

Now i KNOW i had a perfectly good reason for starting this at the time - it just escapes me for the moment. It may have had something to do with my early fascination for Astonomy (and Dinosaurs! ) because both of these two subjects refer to ‘millions’ a fair bit (galaxies Millions of light years away from Earth and periods more than 65 million years ago, when science says the dinosaurs were almost completely wiped out by sudden extreme Global Climate Change!)

I just wanted to get a ‘feel’ for exactly how BIG a million was - and i did just that - trust me - when you hear the word.. ‘million’? you don’t really appreciate it for what it actually IS - it is a LOT - you will trust me on that, won’t you? :-) Try it yourself and just see to make sure i am not lying here! ;-)

Back to the music…  (and maths)

Anyone who reads their Bible (or is aware of their world about them) will understand that Seven is a Perfect Number!

You do all know this - right?

Simple math - VERY simple math - GOD math - the Binary System??  Only 1’s and 0’s?

We start with nothing 0 - where ‘it’ all begins from (binary numbers/counting i am talking here - don’t read MORE into that than you should! - ok? ;-) )

Then we go UP to One - 1 - complete and perfect - fulFILLED. (read into that what you like! :-) )

Next is two which God writes 10 (one zero not ‘ten’  - second ‘generation’ - one down from ‘Parent’ - 1)

Next comes three which God writes as 11 (one one not eleven - try to forget what you learned at school - God was not your teacher there, for most things, man was, and he is not the most ‘reliable source’, for some things! ;-) ). This fulFILLS the second ‘generation’.

Next comes four or 100 (one zero zero), start of third generation…

Five is 101 (one zero one); six 110, and finally, to complete and fulFILL the third generation is 111, one one one.

 0

1

1 1

1 1 1

Perfect! :-)

What about the MU-SIC!??

Well - here’s the REALLY Freaky part…

I Just said that to get you to pay attention! ;-) Who would want to read a post all about the Number Seven? and me and my weird childhood ‘ways’?? :-)

Oh - some more examples of Perfection in Seven (completeness)…

7 ‘Whole’ notes in Music (A - G)

7 Colours in the Rainbow/Spectrum of light (R,O,Y,G,B,I,V)

7 Known planets (back in the Time the Holy Bible was written.

7 Chakra’s in the human body ( i just threw that in there so the eastern philosphies.religions would not feel left out!)

7 Wonders of the World.

7 Days in a week ( ok - music reverence or reference, Whatever!) The Beatles said there were 8 days a week  -the Beatles were about the best musicians ( in terms of outright popularity and fame) known to man. They Knew a Thing or Three - more on that ‘later’) :-)

And…?

 # 7 ? ( Hi Tam !)

 How many letters in ‘Perfect’??

 Just a coincidence?? :-)

You know there are more ‘Sevens’ out there in the World.. what are your personal Favourites?

Well TGIF again! and for some reason Music is filling my mind and heart ( you’re in My Heart , you’re in my Soul… Rod Stewart)

I am typing the following words solely from memory and modifying one here and there to better show what the True Meaning really was… You may have heard it before ( I sure had but I think this says it Juuuuuust Right!

See what you all think?  Feel free to comment - ok?

WHERE

Do I begin,

To Tell the Story

of How GREAT a Love can Be?

The Sweet     Love Story,

That is Older than the Sea,

The Simple Truth about

The LOVE He brings To ME,

Where

Do I Start?

With His First “Hello!”

He Gave The Meaning to this Empty  World of Mine.

There’d never BE another Place

another Time,

He Came into My LIFE

and Made the Living Fine.

HE Fills My HEART!…

 HE Fills My Heart,

With Very Special Things;

With Angel’s Song,

With WILD Imaginings.

He Fills My Soul,

With SO Much JOY!

That ANYWHERE I Go,

I’m NEVER Lonely!

With HIM around…

Who could be Lonely?

 I Reach for His Hand….

It’s ALWAYS There!

How Long can It Last?

Can Love be measured by the Hours in a Day?

I have NO Answers now,

But this much I can Say…

I Know I’ll NEED Him

Till the Stars all Burn Away.

And HE’LL Be There…

And He’ll BE There!

And He’ll Be THERE!

 (Apologies to Mr Andy Stewart!)

(STEWART?? I meant Andy Williams!)

(Please can i have some Milk and COOKIES!? lol)

Now just imagine Andreas Bocelli belting that out in the Musical, GG and I willl be producing!!! :-)

Anthem

I have been ‘reminded’ recently, gently, to listen to my OLD Mike and the Mechanics CD, Word Of Mouth - What a Truly Awesome Album - and so cleverly ‘hidden’.

The overall album theme is of lost love. But if you can get ‘past’ that… A whole New World ‘opens up’.

Trust me get a copy of the album somehow!

I have now got my ‘Anthem’ - if you want a song to stir you UP - To Fire UP your Passion, to get a crowd MOTIVATED to spread the Word ( even about politics) lol

I submit for your edification…

Word Of Mouth

Now the world is getting older
There’s a few things to be said
Do you believe the things they told you
Do you believe the things you’ve read

There’s a rumour on the corner
But it’s always been denied
Cause they don’t want you any wiser
You’re just toeing the Party line

From the west side to the east side
From the north side to the south
You’ll never get bad information
If you believe in the word of mouth

Look out for those who still want to hang on
Look out for those who live in the past
Get out and listen to the whisper
Because the times are changing fast

From the west side to the east side
From the north side to the south
You’ll never get bad information
If you believe in the word of mouth

You don’t believe the information
You don’t believe it when it’s denied
So when you’re reading explanations
You have to read between the lines

From the west side to the east side
Through the windows I’m looking out
You’ll never get bad information
If you believe in the word of mouth

Mike Rutherford 1991

This song is now ‘almost 18′ - old enough to ‘vote’ in many countries ;-)
