Why has it taken 2000 years for someone to write what is - to all atheists at least - fairly obvious, as plain as the nose on our face perhaps - we just ‘over-look’ it, it seems.

READ what Paul says there. St Paul who was the greatest single contributor to our New Testament Scripture (in terms of number of books Authored).

There can be NO DOUBT that Paul had received the Gift of Holy Spirit - that He believed on Jesus - and yet what did he write of Himself???

“ALL THAT I NOW KNOW is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely!!!”

Let no Christian fool themselves they are greater than Paul was in his writing of Our Scripture.. He knew everything INcompletely - and that includes Jesus.

Our Understanding is INcomplete! That which we believe in IS complete - we are not - yet!

One of my favourite bloggers, Christian, recently posted something i have often read and now have on my Blogpage as a creed for me to always bear in mind and do my best to follow.

The PROBLEM is - when i tried to find it in my searchable pc Bible (the KJV version)…

it simply did not EXIST!!!

It seems that the difficulty is a transposition of a single term…

The KJV says all those Good things that Love is… are really all what CHARITY is!!!

How many of you see ‘Love’ and think ‘Charity’ - or vice versa’??

Oh sure - we’re all so wise AFTER the thing has been pointed out to us

Largely by way of my more ’secular’ background and youth, i have never been ‘Big’ on Witnessing - also has something to do with my belief that the Way to God is a highly personal thing for each individual and i have little, if any, right to impose my beliefs upon others. (hard as that is sometimes to believe! )

Sometimes though, the Spirit just moves me and an irresistable thought comes into being.

Sometimes i even feel the need to share it. It happened this week.

There are a number of people lately who have had profoundly GOOD effects upon me and i am happy to have found them and happily give them Credit and credit is indeed well and truly ‘due’. (though none of them will believe that to be true, or ‘deserved’, i am sure)

So Alece, Darla and of course, Tam I stand in awe in witness of His Power and Glory that i see expressed through you to all those you are in contact with, constantly. I am in your debt.

And just so’s people won’t think me one who can only be ‘turned’ by a pretty face…

There are others out there I am blessed for meeting, of course, - i don’t mean to diminish you any - but if i ever had to have a ‘last supper’ i’d choose to spend it with the five above ( ok - you can all bring your spouses )

 …and chocolate would be on the menu! Possibly as a ‘main’

..and it is a given that there will be Vege’s and they are to be finished before you get any desert! - I’ve seen the way some of you eat and you’re gonna have ONE decent meal before you pass on.

OK here is the post i promised before - the one with the question. - Simple this time.

Is it such a FAST that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a FAST, and an acceptable day to the LORD? (Isa Ch 5

 And when he had FASTed forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungered. ( Matt 4:2)

And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they FAST. (Matt Ch 9)

 Find more of your own examples - there are many.

My question?

When was the last time you followed Christ’s example (and those of many others) and fasted? Went without? (food mostly) for as much as 24 hours?

I confess i have not done so voluntarily out of a desire to cleanse my ’self’ and please God and myself by walking in His ways for around three years or more now.

 I intend to rectify this oversight and love of my life over the life of Christ before Dec 25th.

Any of you have a reason to join me??

A simple yes or no will suffice and remember to do it ‘in private’ - no need to let the whole world ‘know’ about it.

I merely offer the ‘challenge’/question.

Do you ever fast? other than when going for a blood/medical ‘test’?

Would you do so voluntarily? To be more like Him??

 We need faith AND works remember. either one without the other doesn’t get us to where we say we wish to ‘go’.

I would advise you to remember to keep up your intake of the water of life during any period of fasting and not to try to do too much, too soon - we have grown weak in the last 20 centuries - 24 hours should do to begin with - you can work up (slowly!) to 40 days and nights if you feel a personal ‘need’, i guess?

I really don’t get it.

It makes little sense to me…

If Jesus’s Message was SO important to the entire world (and frankly i feel it was about as Important as it ever gets) WHY did HE NEVER write one word that is recorded as under His own Human Hand??

I mean if EVER someone on Earth was ‘qualified’ to write about His Dad and what we were put on this earth for it was Him! Right?

And if His message was not to be sullied by His earthly brain and body - even as it was, directly under Divine Guidance (who could ever claim Divinity such as His?) - and this menial task was left to some, but not all, of His Twelve Disciples.

 Just Why then, in God’s Name, did they all wait until SO long after events had transpired to put it down on paper so that we today might know of Him through reading the Bible (and other sources most seem content to ignore even after 50 or more years after their discovery).

Was this an important message for all posterity ? or Not??

If Kevin Rudd coming to power (In Australia! - GW reckons we are one of your best friends - could you at least learn somethings about my country’s politics - i am forced to know a mass about yours in the US - it is NOT through ‘choice’ - believe me) were the Second Coming, in 4 000 AD would people only be reading about it because Julia Gillard wrote about it in 2050??

So why do we do something as strange as this now?

Sure most were illiterate back then, but Christ knew the World and everything that was and was to come. He KNEW we would need to read about Him today and tomorrow until He came back as He Promised (keep looking folks! Just remember how many have died in the ’sure’ knowledge that He was coming back ’soon’ - hopefully in their lifetimes. He actually told ‘us’ it would be in the present lifetime - read Matthew!).

He IS here - He always was - it is what WE do that determines when He ‘returns’ on Earth. I wonder how many of you understand that at all?

How many of you will be as He foretold in His parable and sit and wait and ‘bury’ the Gold Pieces? Until His Master returns and pays what is due?

Which Church has ever made their converts aware of the Truth He passed on to His Flock?

They never deny it for then they might be caught out - but they never encourage you to discover for yourselves the Truth either - it is very possible they don’t even know it themselves, or more sinisterly, they know and choose to keep such power unto themselves alone, afraid of losing their hold over His Children…

 or maybe there is another ‘explanation’?

To me, His Message was one of Love - Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind- we should Love God/Father. Love one another, as fallible as we all are. Love our Soul because it is from, and of, God - within us all, and love our self so as to be able to forgive ourselves in our own minds, for unless we can do this we will never have Peace internally and while we are in conflict within we can never be totally true to Jesus and His Promise to us.

We should also Love our Mother - the Earth from which we are all made and receive our physical form and sustenance. Man does not live by bread alone - even manna. Neither can we live without it, only through spirit.  The body we live in needs Both - Bread and God’s Spirit, renewed in us ‘daily’, if we are to achieve the potential He Promised.

If we are to follow truly His Example.

Dare we? Or would that be asking too much?

The longer we procrastinate through some misunderstanding or mis-Direction the longer and further ‘away’ from Him we become.

So I Truly believe in my Heart, and Soul, and mind.

Just WHO’s Universe IS this anyway?

Whoever ‘own’s it get’s to establish the rules that apply to it - ‘this is my Father’s House’ - i have to play by His rules until i can build my own….

What ‘rules’ would/will/have we put ‘in place’ and in stone????

In ‘our’ Universe’s and can anyone else live solely by them, in them?

What would be the minimum set of such rules we All could abide and live by???
